Maureen's profile has been recently updated with some minor changes. ACTRESS - Maureen Beattie HEIGHT - 5' 8" BORN - Bundorran, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Maureen was raised in Glasgow. FAMILY DETAILS - Maureen is the eldest of four children, two brothers Mark and Paul and sister Louise who was an actress but is now a lawyer. Her father, Johnny is a well known Scottish entertainer. Mother, Kitty, was a former model and theatrical agent, Maureen's mother sadly died 14 years ago of cancer. DRAMA TRAINING - Maureen trained at the RSAMD in Glasgow. There she won The James Bridie Gold Medal in her final year. PREVIOUS JOBS - Lab Technician at a Veterinary College in Scotland and Maureen also spent a summer in Torquay, Devon as a barmaid. MARITAL STATUS - Single CAR - Rover - Maureen didn't learn to drive until she was 30, because she says "I had a terrible instructor at 17 that put me off! HOME - Maureen currently lives in South London when not on tour with the theatre or filming. FAVE AMBITIONS - Maureen says "I'd like to finish the novel I've been writing to see if it's any good. Apart from that I'd just like to go on working as I have been - doing a bit of everything." Maureen has also expressed a keen interest in playing the role of Cleopatra either on stage or screen. FAVOURITE FOOD - "Fish of almost any description with maybe skate wing as my absolute favourite done in black butter with capers." FAVOURITE DRINK - "Either a glass of Chablis or a tot of 10 year old MacAllan Malt Whisky". Sometimes a glass of stout.
