Ghosts
Henrik Ibsen's Ghosts is currently showing at the Citz Theatre, Glasgow until 30 May.
Featuring Maureen Beattie as Mrs Alving in a timeless classic by one of the world's great playwrights.
Helene Alving is about to dedicate an orphanage she has built in memory of her dead husband. For years she put up with his infidelity for fear of being shunned by the community. Now her beloved son has returned home from Paris, but he brings with him a deadly secret and her carefully constructed façade is in danger of being destroyed.
Ibsen puts society under the microscope in this fascinating portrayal of
a family haunted by revelations of the moral corruptions in its past.
One of his most powerful and controversial works, Ghosts is still hauntingly relevant today.
